Reebok CrossFit: A New World Record

As part of last Friday's Guinness World Records DayJoe Hill of 3D Joe and Max partnered with Reebok CrossFit to complete the world's largest and longest 3D street painting ever seen. The artwork measured 1,160.4 meters by 105.6 meters, and was displayed in London's Canary Wharf.

I'm not sure why Reebok didn't aim for a record that's a little more CrossFit-oriented (Longest tire-flipping relay? Highest box jump? Most consecutive ring handstand push-ups or double-unders?) -- but the optical illusion presented here is pretty amazing nonetheless.

Mr. T Has Good Taste

Noted comic artist Paul Maybury's career was launched after he was fired from Whole Foods for creating signs like this one:

That steak looks awfully small for a man of Mr. T's size, though.

A Thousand Words

I love this illustration (which appears alongside the article on Tony Horton in Men's Health this month):

It perfectly captures all the stuff I love and hate about Tony: His look-at-me charisma, enviable fitness level, intensity, helmet hair, dental work, crazy-eyes, propensity for striking that schticky "X" pose, and overemphasis on isolation movements and rep schemes (e.g., 10-12 bicep curls per set) that are fine for bodybuilding, but not so much for developing a foundation of actual strength.

If I could draw like this, I could have scrapped the entire first three months of this here blog.

The Ingredients in a Ham-and-Cheese Hot Pocket

Poster available here.

If I'd seen this when I was at Maker Faire this past weekend, I would have totally bought a print.
