I (stupidly) stayed up past my bedtime last night to play with my new iPad (which, by the way, certainly doesn't replace my computer, but is a mind-blowingly awesome toy nonetheless -- especially for someone like me, who owns neither an iPhone nor an iPod Touch). So when I staggered into the garage this morning to start exercising, I already knew I wouldn't have time to get all three sections of my workout done before the kids popped out of bed.
The problem with rushing through a workout is that I tend to lose focus, and end up sacrificing form for speed. And both my Turbulence Training workout and my Man Maker kettlebell routine require careful attention to form -- the former because it involves heavy resistance, and the latter because it involves repeatedly heaving a large iron ball between your legs. Thankfully, I avoided any serious nutsack injuries this morning.
And don't worry: I finished Cardio Abs this evening. I am, after all, slavishly devoted to my workout routine.

Round 2 / Day 45: Insanity Core Cardio & Balance
I'm halfway through Round 2, and not even close to being sick of Shaun T yet. At this point in Round 1, Tony Horton had me seriously contemplating whether to jam sharp sticks in my eyes and ears.
Anyway, Core Cardio & Balance was significantly today than on Day 43, in large part because I now know to conserve some energy for the plie sequence at the end of the workout. In fact, today's workout felt a little too easy. I know the point of Recovery Week is to take it down a notch, but I'm already itching to ratchet back up the intensity. The prospect of starting Insanity's "Max" workout series next week is a little frightening, but there's a perverse side of me that's eagerly looking forward to having my ass kicked.

P90x Day 45: Back & Biceps + Ab Ripper X
Day 45 is in the books, which means I'm halfway through P90X! Cue the chorus of Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer"!
Plus, with the last Phase 2 session of Back & Biceps done, I don't have to hear Tony's hacky "gun show" joke or Katie's crazy-eyed-stalker laugh again for another three weeks.
