Wednesday's Workout

Man, it's cold outside at 5 a.m. I almost crawled back into bed.


Strength Skill:
  • Front Squats (5-3-3-1-1)
Front squats are always fun. It's been almost a half-year since I practiced 'em in class, so I stopped a good 20 pounds shy of my PR -- but the reps felt nice and solid.

Metcon:

For time:
  • 500-meter row
  • 30 plate burpees
  • 400-meter run
  • 30 pull-ups
We did a very similar workout back in August (though we ran twice instead of running and rowing). Last time, I failed to go unbroken on the pull-ups, but still managed to finish in 7 minutes flat. Today, I cranked out all 30 pull-ups in a row without stopping -- I was determined to match the Terminator's unbroken set -- but finished almost a full minute slower. Go figure.

Result: 7:53 as RXed.
