Monday's Workout

  • Snatch practice (1 rep every minute, on the minute, for 15 minutes)
I felt rusty, but after a string of lingering injuries (wrist, back, etc.), it was nonetheless good to get back into lifting shoes without also having to strap on my wrist brace or belt. I'm tempted to try to lift the same weights I used to, but for now, I'm still sticking with my plan to take things slow and easy until I'm feeling fully recovered. (A little more sleep would be nice, too.)


  • 21 handstand push-ups
  • 21 ring dips
  • 21 push-ups
  • 15 handstand push-ups
  • 15 ring dips
  • 15 push-ups
  • 9 handstand push-ups
  • 9 ring dips
  • 9 push-ups
Result: 15:56 as RXed

Best moment: Getting through the first set of 21 handstand push-ups unbroken.
Worst moment: Realizing that I couldn't string together even 2 consecutive handstand push-ups after the first round. I started laughing mid-workout in disbelief over the utter uselessness of my arms. (It won't be the last time.)

Soreness, here I come.
