Friday's Workout

Remember when I said I couldn't wait to repeat the workout we did on September 29, 2010? Because I sure as hell don't.


For time:
  • 20 burpees
  • 30 overhead kettlebell swings (53 pounds)
  • 40 Abmat sit-ups
  • 50 squats
  • 60 double-unders 
  • 50 squats
  • 40 Abmat sit-ups
  • 30 overhead kettlebell swings (53 pounds)
  • 20 burpees
No kettlebell farmer's walks this time around, but 10 reps were added to every set. (Tim giveth and Tim taketh away.)

Tough? Yes -- especially the final round of burpees, when I had trouble stringing together more than 2 or 3 at a time without pausing to gasp for air. And I still haven't figured out how to stop doing single-unders between each double-under. Sean joined our class this morning, and -- as expected -- absolutely murdered the WOD, finishing in under 9 minutes. I went RXed, too, but didn't (couldn't!) wrap things up until more than four-and-a-half minutes later. (My time: 13:36.) It's almost like we were doing totally different workouts.

Still: I love bodyweight stuff. This was fun. I won't remember saying this, but I'm looking forward to doing this again.
