The barbell roll-outs weren't that bad, but rowing a total of 2000 meters with all-out intensity -- after heavy sets of single-leg deadlifts -- was extremely unfun. During my rest breaks between rounds, I rolled around on the floor, clutching my screaming quads and trying like hell to just. stand. up.
"You okay?" Coach asked after I tumbled to the floor after my third round of wild-eyed thrashing on the erg.
No, I was not okay. I was hyperventilating and my legs were exploding.
But I finished.
