Yes, I'm well aware that I just bought a new pair of shoes the day before yesterday. But a shipment of New Balance Minimus Trail shoes just arrived at Zombie Runner today (thanks for the heads-up, Tim!), and I was powerless to resist.
To me, the black-and-yellow ones have way more tiger blood and Adonis DNA than the Halloweeny-looking orange ones.
The fit is perfect, and they're incredibly light and comfortable. They feel like socks. It's not a zero-drop shoe -- there's a 4 mm heel-to-toe drop -- but it's barely noticeable. And on the plus side, the slightly-more substantial heel feels more stable than that of the Merrell Trail Glove, so the Minimus should be perfect for WODs that combine O-lifting with running. (Both models, by the way, feature Vibram soles.)

Is it weird that I want to wear my new shoes to bed?
